Working with dark, medium, and light fabrics, a diamond pattern is formed from a traditional Log Cabin pattern. Some of the fabrics are one-quarter inch wide (7 mm). I used a foundation fabric to sew the blocks to stabilize the small pieces in this quilt. You can also see another log cabin diamond pattern in my quilt Log Cabin Blues in the log cabin section.
